Oooh....On the K. Raichelle Tip

Soooo, one of my biggest musical influences is TLC (hints the title of this post, it's a play off their CD title- Oooh...On the TLC Tip); I absolutely love that group. One of the biggest reasons I loved them for was their fashion. Artists such as them and Aaliyah (R.I.P.), one of my very favorite singers, had a style all their own. It was boyish but still sexy....this is the look behind this particular post. Boyish (I've said many-a-times that I'm a tomboy, girly but still a tomboy...shrugs) but still sexy. For my own version of boyish BUT sexy, I wore a pink, navy blue, & white checkered button-down shirt over a white tank (*) with cuffed blue jean shorts (*). I added a navy blue (with a pink horse) POLO hat (*) and for my other accessories: diamond earrings (*), a silver buckle ring (*), and gray Oxfords (*). The look was simple (hey...let's face it, sometimes we as women don't wanna go all out, we want a relaxed look...this is mine...(shrugs shoulders)) and laid back. It was just ENOUGH swag (we should really retire this word...lol) without trying to hard. As always, let me know your thoughts below.

A Messy Bun, Flowers, and Cowboy Boots...Oh My!

The title says it all, BUT, just in case you're confused, let me clear it up for you. This is another past outfit that I wore. I wore it to class on a beautiful September day. I wore a strapless purple and green floral-print dress that I accessorized with mint & gold earrings (I love these earrings which is why I wear them repeatedly, they were part of my b-day jewelry (shrugs shoulders carelessly)) (*), multiple gold & rose gold bracelets and bangles (*), a light tan waist belt, and brown/dark tan cowboy boots. I love this outfit because it's girly, but it's a different type of girly, a bit of a mix. My style is ever-evolving. It isn't ever the same and I always get inspiration to switch things up from seeing other people's style and putting my own little spin on it to make it me, and this outfit is no exception. While this outfit is not only girly (as aforementioned), it is also just something simple that I for one wanted to try: a dress with cowboy boots, so I did. It was a pretty fun outfit and I got lots of compliments on the entire look, which also included shimmering gold eyes and a messy bun to boot. Hope you guys like it; sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts.

Red

Here's another past outfit post...For this particular outfit, I wore a plaid red shirt that had an embroidered back and exposes my stomach with blood red palazzo pants (*). The accessories were both red and gold-gold & rose gold bracelets & bangles (*), red, beaded bracelets (*), mint & gold post earrings (*), and dark tan lace-ups with cut-outs (*). I also had my red lip action going on. My inspiration behind this particular outfit was western (hints the plaid) BUT with a twist. This outfit was simple but devastatingly cute...in my opinion. Hope you guys like it as much as I do. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Ain't Nothing Wrong With a Little Cream and Honey

Hello, hello, hello! How are y'all? Me??? I'm finally back from my hiatus, school and work has kept me extremely busy but it's time to update the blog with past outfits/new ones & to get back to what I do best-STYLE! So...here goes: this particular outfit was one I wore before Labor Day for church. Here in the South, the fashion rule is never to wear white after Labor Day (this past year, I've become a bit of a fashion risk taker, so I doubt I'll continue to listen to this old-fashion rule; it wouldn't be me if I didn't push the envelope in one way or another) so I was trying to get my last little wear in (again, so I thought). For this outfit, I wore a sleeveless cream top with an interesting neckline and cream pants with nude pumps (*). For my accessories, I wore gold post earrings (*), gold and rose gold bracelets & bangles (*), and carried a khaki-colored clutch (*). I kept my hair simple and upped the ante just enough (holds fingers slightly apart) without going overboard by doing my signature red lip and shimmering gold eyes. I loved this outfit because it was so simplistic and the cream made me feel heavenly if you get what I mean. I hope you guys enjoy this look. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Peach Me If I'm Dreaming....

So, I took a mini-break from blogging this week because school has kept me a little busy but now I'm back to show you some of my adventures with my clothes....soooo, here goes...With this one particular outfit, I wore it one day last week to class and work. I wore a sleeveless peach hi-low shirt (*) tucked into a long black maxi skirt (*). I added a skinny khaki belt to the ensemble and I also wore khaki wedge heels (that have a multi-colored/striped wedge) (*). My accessories were mint and gold post earrings (*), a gold anchor necklace, multiple gold bracelets and bangles (*), and I also threw a pink bandanna on to edge it up a tad. My hair and makeup was very simplistic: a messy bun and a clean face with a bold red lip. This outfit was lots of pinks and reds and it's just one that I loved. I would love to hear your thoughts on it, so sound off in the comments below. Happy Friday!!!:)

P.S. New York Fashion Week has officially started, Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!:-)

This....No Words.

So...how are you guys doing? It's the start of Labor Day weekend, which means football season is officially a-go, its a three-day weekend, and barbecues are all the rage. How are you guy's gonna spend it? I'm starting mine off with doing what I do, what I love to do actually, blog on this here fashion blog. This particular post is of the outfit I wore last Saturday night, August 25th, for our Girl's Night Out/My Late Birthday Outing. Some of my girls didn't make it to my birthday celebration a week before so they decided to take me out for dinner as well as having a girl's night on the town. We went to dinner and went back to the house for a little bit of drinking and girl talk. The night was definitely a blast. My choice of outfit was a sleeveless hi-low peach shirt (*) tucked inside of a royal blue bodycon skirt (*); a skinny khaki belt was an added extra. I also incorporated turquoise into the mix (a color that has been in a lot of my posts as of lately, what can I say, I love it) as well. Now, I know what you're probably saying, how does turquoise incorporate into this outfit? Welp, I can show you better than I can tell you. The accessories you will see were starfish-shaped silver and turquoise earrings (*), a turquoise and sea green beaded necklace (*), gold bangles and bracelets (*), and strappy turquoise platform heels (*). I really have no words (hints the chosen title) for how pretty and cute I felt in this outfit. I hope you guys' love it as much as I do. Sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend to the fullest, byyyyyyeeee OldVintagers.:)

A Taste of Blue

Hello, hello, hello...Sooooooo, I'm still playing catch up on posts that I need to do, so here goes. For this outfit, I wore it exactly a week ago on the second day of school. I wore a blue jean vest (*) over a sleeveless white shirt with a front pocket and an exposed back with dark gray palazzo pants. I accessorized it with turquoise accessories, including the following: a beaded turquoise and sea green necklace (*), silver and turquoise starfish-shaped earrings (*), three stackable beaded rings (*), a silver and turquoise ring (*), a bangle (*), and a turquoise with a khaki accent handbag (*). My other accessories were a gray beanie (*), black and white swirl design Vera Bradley glasses (*), and my gray Oxford lace-ups (*). This outfit was so casual  and cool and required a certain sort of, if you will, "swag". I wore the collar of the vest up to add that swag; that extra "umph". I really love this outfit because it shows my versatility when it comes to my style. I SO love to switch it up..my next outfit post will definitely show you that.........Welp, anyways, sound off in the comment section and let me know your thoughts on my taste of blue.

Bronzed Dimples & Peach...

So...my 21st birthday was August 19th (if you follow me on Instagram, you'll see pics from my birthday weekend) and a few days later, I started school for the semester (last week). This is the outfit I wore on the first day. I wore a peach sleeveless shirt that had an exposed front on-top of a tan tank, with navy and white swirl-designed sheer pants (*). My accessories were mint and gold vintage-style earrings (my birthday jewelry), gold bracelets and bangles (*), a big orange purse, and light brown lace-ups with the cutouts (*). To complete my look, I styled my hair in a messy bun and had golden eye makeup. I got so many compliments on this outfit and I myself LOVED it! I hope you guys like it just as much. Sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts.

Gypsy's, Tramps, and Thieves....

Hello again Old Vintagers, here's another outfit post. This, here, particular outfit was one I wore a few days after getting back from camp. This outfit was all black, BUT with a twist. I threw on a scarf and it completely transformed the outfit. For this particular outfit, I wore a black scoop-neck dress as a shirt with an exposed back and a long maxi skirt (*). I not only accessorized it with the multi-colored/designed scarf, but I wore my silver/keyed hoop earrings (*) and black sandals (*). And my look wouldn't have been complete without my signature red lip. Let me know your thoughts below.

Easy and Breezy

So...as I've said in previous posts, I've had a pretty busy summer that has took me away from blogging so now I'm playing a bit of catch up. Here's a post of one of my fave outfits from this summer. For the last week of July going into the beginning of August, I was gone for an entire week to the mountains of North Carolina for Young Life camp. I'm a leader and I work with high school kids trying to teach them about Christ while doing different fun activities with them. Well, anyways, for this week at camp, one of the activities we had was Dress Up night. For Dress Up night, I wore a khaki-colored spaghetti-strap maxi dress that had snap buttons all down the front and a cinched waist. I accessorized with turquoise accessories- I wore a turquoise and sea green beaded necklace, three stackable beaded rings, silver and turquoise starfish-shaped earrings (the aquatic trend was very big this summer, so I definitely wanted to try it), and platform heel sandals. I accentuated the outfit even more with my bronzed/golden and turquoise eye makeup and a nude lip with a golden shimmer. This dress is very simple (you could dress it up and/or down) and it was just perfect for dress up night. Hope you guys liked it as much as I did. Let me know your thoughts.

I'm a Rock Out With My...Out!

As you can see, by now, my style is multi-faceted. I don't ever stick to the same style; I'm always switching it up. One day I might dress super preppy, the next, really edgy and pushing the envelope, and the day after, I might choose to dress like a straight-up boy (real-tomboyish). It just depends on the way the wind pushes me that day. This outfit is definitely an example of my ever-changing style. I wore a blue jean vest (*) over a fitted black and white tribal print (one of this summer's hottest trends) dress. I accessorized my outfit with diamond studs (*), a eagle necklace to edge it up a little (*), a silver buckle ring (*), three stackable diamond-encrusted silver rings (*), a silver and turquoise ring (*), a black and granite gray beaded bracelet, a black cuff and a small gray link bracelet (*), black glasses (*), a navy blue cross-shouldered purse, and my gray Oxford lace-ups (*). I upped the edge factor a little by adding my signature red lip. I wore this outfit for my day trip to Memphis to hang with one of my girls. I love this outfit, it's sexy and edgy and it's just....me. Sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts.

Hello, hello. Oh my goodness, I haven't blogged in forever because of my busy schedule this summer, so I have a lot of updating to do, soooo...here goes. The first outfit on the chopping block is one I wore on a sunny Sunday in July. I wore a blue jean tie shirt over a white tank with a tribal print pair of jeans. I accessorized the look with hot pink and pearl accessories. I wore big hot pink hoop earrings (*), a big peacock print pink cuff and small pink bracelets (*) and a pearl-stranded bracelet (*), a long pearl-stranded necklace, and hot pink pumps. It was casual Sunday at church, so this was my outfit choice. Hope you guys like it; sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts.

P.S. It feels sooooooo good to be blogging again (sigh), lol. Also, follow me on Instagram at _anoldvintagebeauty

Swimming In a Maze of Blue

So, this outfit is my most recent. I wore it yesterday for work. It's simple but cute and some of the items have been sitting in a bag for weeks now in a basket and everywhere else in my room so...it's about time I wore em'. For this outfit, I wore a light denim blue-jean vest (*) over a teal tank with a black and white-striped flowy, long skirt with my gray cloth Oxfords (*). My accessories included the following-silver, beaded, keyed hoops (that I DIY'd) (*), a silver buckle ring (*), three silver stackable, jewel encrusted rings (*), a silver and turquoise ring (*), a black bangle (*), and a light blue cuff. I edged up this look by adding my signature red lip. Sooooo...what do you think? Sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts.

Preppy Never Looked So Good...

So, as stated in a previous post, I get my preppy side from my mommy. Hope this outfit makes her proud. For this outfit, I wore a hot pink cardigan over a light pink shirt with a tan and brown argyle-style print and chocolate brown pants. For my accessories, I wore big hot pink hoop earrings (*), a pearl-strand bracelet (*), several gold and pink bracelets (*), a light pink cuff with a peacock print, my pink Hello Kitty watch (*), a khaki-colored cross-shouldered purse/clutch (*), and light brown lace-up shoes with the cutouts. As I stated, I'm not a huge fan of pink, but this outfit was everything when I put it on. They say the best outfits are the unplanned ones, let's see if they're right.
